Langley Heritage Society
The Langley Heritage Society has been a part of Canada Day Activities in Fort Langley for many years now. The Society was formed in 1979 by a group of community-minded citizens concerned with the preservation of Langley’s built and natural heritage. The group will be presenting fun ways of learning about local history with displays and activities and will be found at the booth next to the Langley Centennial Museum’s P. Y. Porter Truck. The Society has preserved many heritage homes and buildings throughout the Township of Langley, including the CN Train Station Museum in Fort Langley and they sponsor many of the Centennial Museum’s School Programs bringing children out to learn.
