The Langley Heritage Society is proud of their accomplishments realized over the last 40 years to preserve and restore Langley’s heritage – from historic Michaud House and Wark/Dumais House to the Fort Langley CNR Station.

To celebrate, they are hosting a PHOTO CONTEST to highlight Langley’s heritage structures, heritage landscapes, and people. Contest details below:

Contest Period: The 40th Anniversary Photo Contest begins at 10am on Monday, February 17th and closes Monday, May 4th at 10pm.

Categories: Entries may be submitted in the following categories:
• Langley Heritage Buildings
• Langley Heritage Landscapes
• Langley People
Eligibility: Open to amateur photographers resident in B.C.

Submission Guidelines: Send your photo to Maximum 1400 pixels wide and 1050 pixels high. Limit of one entry per email; include your name, address and telephone number, and
specify the category you are submitting in (i.e. BUILDING, LANDSCAPE or PEOPLE). Some entries will also be featured on the Langley Heritage Society Facebook page and LHS website. No name or watermark is permitted on the front of your image.
Limit of 3 entries per person.

Prizes: A $200 prize will be awarded in each of the three categories. Winning photos will be displayed at the Fort Langley CNR Station beginning May 18th, 2020. Winning photos will also appear on the
Langley Heritage Society website, Facebook page, and LHS Newsletter.
Judging: A panel of 3 judges will review and score the images with winners in each of the three categories.

Judges will consider composition, content/originality, and visual impact. All decisions are final.
