The Aldor Family
Hi there! We are the Anderson Family and we are farmers in Glen Valley, located 5kms east of Beautiful Fort Langley. The main crop on the farm is pumpkins, and that is where it all began. Owners and grandparents, Albert and Dorothy (Al-Dor) put a small sign and a jar at the end of the road back in 1988 and started selling pumpkins on the honour system. Little did they know, it would become a hit. Soon enough they were giving tractor-drawn hayrides out to the pumpkin patch and providing an educational, hands-on farm experience for guests.
Aldor Acres is now open year round for different events. Spring and summer offer farm tours, baby animals at Easter, and Farm Kid Camps. October brings 20 acres of pumpkin patches and 5 acres of petting zoos and animal displays. December welcomes Christmas Trees and roasting marshmallows around the campfire. We host birthday parties and company events all year as well.
We are in our 26th year of operation and third generation of Anderson farmers. Eldest granddaughter Melissa is working full-time with her grandparents and the three of them run the farm on a daily basis. Albert and Dorothy’s son, Mark, and his wife, Leanna, and family run Aldor Acres Christmas Trees.
Throughout the years, the farm labour has come from Albert and Dorothy, their four kids, 19 grandkids and a countless number of family and friends. We are fortunate and appreciative as each person feels a sense of pride and ownership in our family farm. Our livelihood depends on all of you – thank you for supporting, encouraging and visiting our farm!
It is our pleasure to open our farm gates to you – we hope you love it as much as we do!
